A good friend is hard to find.

Before I start on what I really want to say, whoever guesses what the title of this blog entry refers to gets a cookie.

And now onto the serious stuff...

My good friend Myra is moving away! She got an awesome job offer from a company in Maryland, and being the smart girl that she is, she took it. I am so incredibly happy for her but undeniably sad for myself.

Myra and I met in September 2006 when I started working at my current place of employment. We hit it off immediately, but it took several months for us to really become homies. I can honestly say that there's not another person like her in the whole wide world. She is completely and totally random, and we've been known to drive others crazy with our bastardization of the British accent, not to mention our completely pointless conversations. I simply love hanging out with her and will miss having lunch with her almost every single day. I will miss her walking into my office at random times during the day just to say hi. I will miss her emails making fun of Beans. I am just going to miss her.

I am a pretty social person, but I only really have a few friends who I know will really be there for me. And Myra is one of them. I know that it's not goodbye forever, but work is really going to suck without her there to brighten up my beige office. I will miss her terribly.

Love the big hats. Anybody you can wear big hats w/has to be a wonderful fun friend. Hope you two stay in touch.

it totally sucks when your besties at work move on to other opportunities. she sounds like a great friend and i hope that you are still able to stay close even with the distance.
